"A lady of what is commonly called an uncertain temper- A pharse which being interpreted signifies a temper tolerably certain to make everybody more or less uncomfortable."-Charles Dickens
Part of my New Years resolution (that i do intend to keep!)
is to be more crafty.
Im not so good, but at least Im doing something
with my spare time, hahaha.
The deer terrarium is all made from paper and fake moss, but real
pinecones. It was pretty hard to put inside the bottle, I have a new
found respect for those people who make those ships in tiny bottles.
The photo frame is a found piece of art turned frame,
and the arrows are clothes pins turned magnets.

Cant wait for the new year. No big plans for new years; maybe a sushi date, maybe a party with friends...But Im going to make 2013 "my year". Everything I want to happen will; And I wont take a timeout if I fail at things. Life passes you by when you do that, And heck, im not getting any younger. So 2013, I actually welcome you this time.
Something about trying to keep up a blog, or on technology at all even, is pretty hard at times.
There's always something smaller, faster, easier, etc that comes along.
It was best said in the movie "He's just not that into you", Drew Barrymoore says “I had this guy leave me a voicemail at work, so I called him at home,
and then he emailed me to my BlackBerry, and so I texted to his cell,
and now you just have to go around checking all these different portals
just to get rejected by seven different technologies. It’s exhausting.”
And that's SO true nowadays!
We have lost the good old days of having one form of contacting someone, and if we didn't reach them, we had to wait till they reached us. It meant more. We weren't constantly checking all our mobile devices, "social" sites, etc. all the time. Don't get me wrong, it has it's pros too.
I have met some pretty awesome people online that I would have never met. I have seen pictures of things I would have never seen (and sometimes of things I would NEVER want to see). It makes it cheaper and easier (for the most part) to stay in touch with people all over the world.
So for the time I have been away, it was due to lack of "modern technology". Plus, I do have a life. Maybe not an exciting one, but I do have one.
But here I am, writing to an imaginary audience once again!
Welcome!
Strictly speaking, white is not a color, but the manifestation of the presence of all color - the complete energy of light. It stands for wholeness and completion. In many cultures it represents openness and truth. White has a cold quality. It can provide clarity as its energy is complete
White projects purity, cleanliness, and neutrality. Doctors don white coats, brides traditionally were white gowns and a white picket fence surrounds a safe and happy home.
How the color white affects us mentally and physically
* aids mental clarity
* encourages us to clear clutter or obstacles
* evokes purification of thoughts or actions
* enables fresh beginnings
In some cultures white is worn at funerals. White is Monday's color. White daisies are a symbol of loyal love
White gemstones are ruled by the Moon and are associated with sleep and psychic energy. They are often used for good fortune, protection after dark. The crystal amplifies the powers of other stones. Some say that because white stones contain all the colors, they can act as substitutes for stones of any color.
Albinism characterized by the complete or partial absence of pigment in the skin, hair and eyes due to absence or defect of an enzyme involved in the production of melanin. Albinism results from inheritance of recessive genealleles and is known to affect all vertebrates, including humansAlbinism is associated with a number of vision defects, such as photophobia, nystagmus and astigmatism. Lack of skin pigmentation makes the organism more susceptible to sunburn and skin cancers.
Living with this for 10+ years is a nightmare. I have even have had the joy of people/family telling me its not a "real" disease, when in fact can be very dangerous. Ive been quietly dealing with this for some time now, but lately its been killing me. I feel tired and lazy, i dont want to do anything. I dont want to get up for work, I deff dont want to deal with screaming kids all day, I dont want to look for a second job, drive anywhere, clean anything, etc. I dont even want to do things I love, like take pictures, garden, hike, etc. I hate it.
All I can do is continue to eat right and take more vitamins, and keep on keeping on. I cant afford to go to the Dr, so dont even suggest that. And thats a whole other topic in itself; todays society crumbing and people cant even afford healthcare...ugh.
The word green is closely related to the Old English verb growan, “to grow”. It is used to describe plants or the ocean. By far the largest contributor to green in nature is chlorophyll, the chemical by which plants photosynthesize.
Money
In the United States of America, green is a slang term for money, among other things. Several colloquialisms have derived from these meanings, such as “green around the gills”, a phrase used to describe a person who looks ill.
Green is life.
Abundant in nature, green signifies growth, renewal, health, and environment.
Green is a restful color with some of the same calming attributes of blue. Like blue, time moves faster in a green room.
Green is the national color of Ireland and is strongly associated with that country. Green also has close associations with Islam. Because of all the green in nature the color is reminiscent of Spring. Coupled with red it's a Christmas color.
green is jealousy or envy (green-eyed monster) and inexperience, and sick.
Several minerals have a green color, including emeralds which are colored green by its chromium content.
Culturally
green has broad and sometimes contradictory meanings. In some cultures, green symbolizes hope and growth, while in others, it is associated with death, sickness, envy or the devil.
Green is also associated with regeneration, fertility and rebirth for its connections to nature. Recent political groups have taken on the color as symbol of environmental protection and social justice, and consider themselves part of the Green Movement, some naming themselves Green Parties. This has led to similar campaigns in advertising, as companies have sold green, or environmentally friendly, products.
